Selected as a seedling, this Cornus kousa is characterised by its distinct upright growing growth habit. This is very uncommon in the Cornus assortment. The flowers are also different from the average Cornus kousa. The four bracts that typify the Cornus hang off slightly which, with a little imagination, look like a crown (in French: couronne). The brachts are creamy white. A suitable shrub for a garden or park.
